About IBB Energie AG
IBB Energie AG ensures the supply of energy, water and communications in the Brugg region. This energy supply company, which was founded in 1892, employs over 100 people.
Initial situation

IBB Energie AG is committed to the region. In its activities, it values the development of sustainable and user-oriented innovations together with its partners so that positive, solution-oriented contact with customers can be maintained.

For this reason, digitalisation should also be promoted – especially in relation to the signature process. Until now, documents such as contracts with customers, partners and suppliers still required a handwritten signature.
IBB’s requirements
IBB Energie AG wanted to use a digital signature process to reduce media discontinuity and the administrative burden. It was therefore looking for a signature solution that could be put into operation easily and without any major implementation effort. The onboarding process also needed to be as fast and straightforward as possible. It was also important for the energy supply company to be able to start with a small signature volume and to easily scale up if necessary.
The SwissSign solution

IBB Energie AG opted for the signature service from SwissSign, which can be used directly and requires no integration. It uses simple (SES) and qualified electronic signatures (QES) for the following processes:

Contracts with customers and partners – if requested by the counterparty (QES)

Contracts and orders with suppliers in the IT sector (QES)

Internal invoice checking by employees (SES)

Invoices already signed electronically by the counterparty (SES)

The company simply uploads the documents to be signed to the web client and, if necessary, then invites the counterparties by email to the signing room and to sign.

This enables IBB Energie AG to provide its customers and partners with a completely digital workflow, saving a huge amount of time.
