New version of the SwissID App
From today, the new version of the SwissID App is available with a fresh design and an improved user experience. Find out the steps you need to take for continued trouble-free use of the app after the update.
Setting up the SwissID App
Download the new version of the app

Open the SwissID App.

You will be automatically prompted to install the update of the SwissID App.

Open the updated app and log in again.

(Re)activate two-factor authentication

After you log in, you will be asked if you want to activate two-factor authentication via the SwissID App.

If so, please accept this request.
(Re)activate SwissID Sign

For security reasons, you will need to reactivate the signing service to continue using it.

First, open the signing service in the main menu of the app.

You will then need to renew your certificate, which you can do directly in the app. Your new certificate will be generated automatically.

Finally, confirm activation of the signing service request using biometrics – either fingerprint or facial recognition.

You can see which level of identification you have reached and which services are available at a glance.

You can select and activate the desired type of two-factor authentication with minimum fuss via the app.
