-
Want your driving licence without paperwork drama? Prove your identity and share your certified First Aid course and Eye Test examination credentials directly from your wallet to register for your provisional driving licence - fully digital and ready for your driving exam journey.

Electronic Signature:
Securely sign agreements like gym membership or parcel receptions using your wallet
-
Ready to get in shape? To register as a member in your gym just prove your identity at the counter - show only the necessary attributes and not more. Receive the Terms and Conditions directly in the signing room. Sign them via your wallet and your membership credentials are directly issued to your wallet.

Technical Questions
What is a verifiable credential?
A verifiable credential is an electronic version of a document (like an ID card, diploma, or membership) that you can store in a digital wallet and share with others to prove something about yourself — such as your age, education, or qualifications — in a secure and trustworthy way.
What are the minimum device requirements?
To ensure secure and reliable use of the wallet, your device must meet the following minimum requirements:
General Requirements
-
Minimum supported OS version (refer to the latest in the app store)
-
Biometric authentication enabled (e.g. fingerprint or face unlock)
iOS Devices
-
Device must not be jailbroken
-
Latest official iOS version recommended
Android Devices
-
Bootloader must be locked
-
Device must not be rooted
-
App must be installed via the Google Play Store
-
Device must run a Google-certified operating system (Note: Custom ROMs such as GrapheneOS are not supported)
-
Device must have installed a security update within the past 12 months
-
Google Play Protect must be activated
What happens if I uninstall the wallet?
Uninstalling the wallet will definitely remove the verifiable credentials stored in the wallet.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If you lose your phone, nobody will be able to access your credentials since the wallet is secured by your biometric. Nevertheless, a good practice is to reset the device remotely if possible, or to revoke individual credentials by contacting credential’s issuer.
Can I freely move my credentials to new phone?
The most precious credentials, e.g. bank account credential, are bound to your device. This means that if you install the Wallet on your new phone you will have to ask the credential’s issuer to issue a new credential to your new phone. Less sensitive credentials, such as some membership cards, could be transferred from one device to another if the credential’s issuer allows it.
How can I sign with the wallet?
The SwissSign Wallet is used solely to securely confirm your digital signatures. Start signing with SwissSign by visiting https://sign.swissid.ch.
