Reminder: New S/MIME certificate profiles from 16.06.2025 on

The new certificate profiles for S/MIME (Secure E-Mail) will be available be set live on 16.06.2025.

On 16 June 2025, we will go live with the newly prescribed certificate profiles for S/MIME (secure e-mail) in our production environment.

The according new requirements can and should already be complied with. If you obtain the S/MIME certificates automatically and have not yet made the changeover, please do so immediately.

We would like to point out that the new profiles are already activated on the pre-production environment and can be tested by customers with pre-production access.

Background

As announced, the regulatory body for public key certificates on the Internet, the CA/Browser has changed the specifications for S/MIME certificates. Therefore, these must be adapted. You will find further details on this topic here:
