47 days, 10 days – validity period for TLS / SSL certificates and domain validation significantly shortened
From 2029 onwards, public SSL/TLS certificates are only permitted to be valid for 47 days, a decision made by the CA/Browser Forum with far-reaching consequences. The shortening of the validity period means that more frequent certificate renewals and domain validation process optimisations will be required.
